Title: Research on the Improvement Strategies of Oral Expression Ability of Pre-Service Teachers in Comprehensive Universities: A Case Study of G University

Abstract: Pre-service teachers, as the reserve force for future teachers, the effectiveness of their talent cultivation affects the quality of the teacher team. Oral expression ability, as the basic applied skill required by teachers for their teaching activities, is a key component of the vocational ability cultivation indicators for pre-service teachers. Currently, the cultivation of oral expression ability for pre-service teachers in comprehensive universities still faces problems such as insufficient teacher orientation, insufficient specialized ability training, and insufficient confidence of pre-service teachers in their professional careers. Based on the current situation of the cultivation of oral expression ability for pre-service teachers in comprehensive universities, this paper proposes the “Shi-Li-Shuo” educational concept, which serves the growth of the pre-service teacher’ group in comprehensive universities and meets the needs of career development. Through the two-way integration of the first and second classrooms and the optimization of educational strategies, it breaks the “fear of speaking” predicament and gradually shifts to “being brave to speak, being able to speak, and being good at speaking”, achieving “speaking” in multiple scenarios, effectively promoting the cultivation and improvement of the oral expression ability of pre-service teachers in comprehensive universities, and promoting the creation of more high-quality, comprehensive, and highly skilled teacher talents with solid subject knowledge, outstanding professional abilities, and profound educational sentiments.
